Glenside, Pennsylvania and formerly of Shraheens, Kilmovee, Co. Mayo.
August 25th 1941 – April 21st 2026
Loving husband of Brigid (née O’Donnell). Loving father of Sheila, Maggie (Kevin), Bern (Lauren), John (Kate), and Holly (Bobby Meyers). Adoring grandfather of Emma, Charlotte, Ciaran, Cullen, Sophie, Annabelle, and Fiona. Also survived by his sister, Margaret Ward and was preceded in death by 7 siblings.
He was a family-oriented man and a dedicated hard worker who took great pride in caring for those around him. He always enjoyed a full house, surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, friends, extended family, and neighbours. He welcomed everyone with open arms—and often a beverage in hand—making all feel at home in his presence. Kind-hearted and generous, he would do anything for his family, friends, and neighbours. He truly had a heart of gold.
Pat, Dad, and Granja was the kindest soul you could meet. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. You could often find him out mowing lawns or ploughing snow, always looking out for others. He had a smile for everyone and never a bad word to say about anyone.
He was also a passionate sports fan who loved his Mayo GAA, the Philadelphia Flyers, and just about any sporting event. When his game was on, everyone knew—it was a time of excitement, focus, and unwavering loyalty.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
May He Rest in Peace.
