Deepest sympathy to Mattie, Marjorie, Mary Ellen, extended family of PJ.
He was a much loved resident of Cuan Aoibhinn for 27 years and a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He became a great friend to both staff and residents, and there was never a day he didn’t brighten with his company, stories, and great character.

Many happy days were spent sitting with us in the laundry having the craic, and those memories will stay with us always.

Horse racing was his great passion, and during Cheltenham and Galway Races we often joked that we were “horse racing widows,” as we were completely abandoned when the racing was on. He loved every minute of it.

He will be greatly missed by everyone here, but fondly remembered with the greatest affection.

May he rest in peace.

May you Rest in Peace my friend. Only knew PJ in passing until I started working at the Cuin Aobhine in 2020. From then on a friendship grew and the amount of laughter and banter between us was just priceless. There was a lot more good days than bad,hospital trips wasn’t his best moments but we plodded on. First thing he would say to me when I’d start work was what’s on our agenda today. Loved every moment of being in your company so you sleep well because you might be gone but never forgotten..
