Emeritus Professor Veterinary College UCD, from Blackrock Co. Dublin and formerly of Drumcoura, Co. Leitrim and Carramore, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo – Passed away peacefully at home with his family on May 4th, 2025.
Pre-deceased by his beloved parents, Bridget and Michael, sisters Sr. Bernard, Kathleen and brothers, James, Bernard, Peter and Fr. John, and brothers-in-law Ron and Pat.
Beloved husband of Joan (née Philbin, formerly Bridge Street, Louisburgh and much-loved father of John, Michael and David. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters-in-law, Pauline, Katie and Rashmi, grandchildren James, Julie and Rowan, sisters Sr. Loyola, Theresa, sisters-in-law Noreen, Mary (Devine), Mary (O’Mahony), brothers-in-law Michael and John Philbin, nieces and nephews, extended relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, 5 Newtown Park, Blackrock (A94 X308), on Friday May 9th from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.
Funeral Mass will be held in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue (A94 WF89), on Saturday morning May 10th at 10 o’clock.
Departing Massey Bros. Funeral Home on Sunday morning May 11th at 9 o’clock for burial in Kilgeever Cemetery, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo arriving at 2.30pm approximately.
