Thinking back on the days over at the edgwick club; our holiday to Norfolk and our last meeting in the pub in carlow where ye were up singing, raising the vibration like the good ole soul you were. Annie, Emmett and Kerry,

I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Pat was a truly remarkable man – warm, funny, and full of life. I have so many memories of late nights at the Coombe with him, and I’ll always remember how he stepped in and put me up when I needed help. That kind of kindness stays with you.

He meant a great deal to me, and I hope it brings some comfort to know the impact he had on those around him. I’m thinking of all of you and holding you in my thoughts during such a difficult time.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out for anything, even the small things.

To the loveliest, sweetest man (Pat McMahon) who welcomed me into his family many years ago and always had the ability to make me laugh. May you sing and dance with the angels bab until we all meet again. Sending lots of love and hugs to Annie, Emmett and the whole family at this very sad time. You are loved very, very much. Pat was one of my great friends and along with Tom Faulkner (RIP) the three of us used to call ourselves the ‘Three Musketeers’.

Pat of course had great connections with Broadstreet Rugby Football Club in Coventry and his son Emmet played for the club for a long time.

Pat managed the Edgwick Trades Hall club in Coventry for many years and then the Coombe Abbey Inn in Craven Street before moving to East Anglia and eventually settling for many years in Foxford, County Mayo with his partner Annie.

I send my deepest condolences on behalf of the Broadstreet club, the rugby community in Coventry, my wife Liz and myself to Annie, his son Emmett, daughters Kerry, Naomi and Yvette, his brother Chris, his sister Liz, sister in-law Margaret and the extended family,

I am so glad that Liz and I recently had a great evening with Annie and Pat in Kiltimagh over a few beers remembering many of the great times we had together.
