To Brendan and the Costello family, I’m sorry for your loss, when I was a young lad I used drive out Dublin Road in our red tractor, I would flash the lights as I drive by Murphys sweet shop, then I stop at Kilbride cottages and say, anyone for the last 3 bags of turf, then I drive home to Culmore, and do my chores, and then look at Waltons mountain.

My sincere condolences to Mary, Cian and Kevin. I am lucky enough to have known Padraic for all of my life life in different areas from Mary’s and Padraics strong involvement in Scoil Faifteiri to Castlebar Mitchels.

Both, Mary, my Mother Mary Loftus, Marita Staunton and Lourda Mchugh put enormous work into the pink ribbon cause together with George Gannon and his wife Catherine and he was always a strong supporter with Jimmy Staunton also.

Padraic always had an irrepressible energy about him and was always interested in what young people were doing and where they were working at.

Over the years; even when ill he maintained his interest in people and the local community and in particularly in Castlebar Mitchels, he will be remembered forever.
