Develane, Clogher, Belmullet, Co. Mayo – peacefully, at Belmullet Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family on 13th February 2026.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Sarah, grandaughter Fiadh, sisters Nora and Kathleen and brother John.
Beloved husband of Sadie (née Gaughan), dear father of Peter, Patrick, Kathleen, Sheila, James, Ann and Úna and dear grandad to his cherished grandchildren Seán, Sarah, Patrick, Keeva, Katelyn, Fionnán, Sorcha, Micheál, James, Seán, Hugh, Erin, Cara, Ríona, Ailbhe and Cian.
He will be sadly missed by his family, daughters in law Bernice and Carmel, sons in law Eamon, Michael and Kieran, sister Mary Rowan (Boston, U.S.A), brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Paddy will lie in repose at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Sunday evening from 3 o’clock until 5 o’clock with the funeral arriving at St. Brendan’s Church, Tirrane at 7 o’clock.
Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in Faulmore Cemetery.
Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Monday at 12 noon with all other funeral services available for viewing on Monday evening at 6 o’clock.
