Condolences to Susan and Michelle and family on the sad loss of Noel. I came to london in the mid 90’s as a 17 year old and Noel was one of the first people I met. Over the next 16 years the laughs and the jokes and lies were told in the corner in Angie’s! One of the best who always had time for everyone and a lift to or from the airport no matter how early or late!! Rest In Peace Noel . One of the very best.

Noel was such an unique character. He was kind and very funny and always cheerful. We have known noel and Susan for some years, initially as the only person who was able to get very important show tapes to Heathrow airport with seconds to spare. I never understood how he managed but he always did. And he was always calm about it as well!! Next he became our trusted van driver, delivering and collecting equipment to all sorts of venues in all parts of London, and believe me at some ungodly hours . He never even got a parking fine. And he was the only cab driver I trusted to take me to the airport when I went on holidays. The minute I got in his car, my holiday started. Relaxed, having some very funny but also quite serious chats about life, family. And yes he always turned up and got me there, on time and ready to start my holidays. He was like my favourite uncle seeing me off. Even the time we had to get to Stansted, the NCR was closed off, total traffic chaos everywhere, but noel knew a special route. Now remember this is a time before sat nav. So we were driving on lovely country roads, the sun was shining and he was as calm and relaxed as usual. When I said to him well I’m glad you know this alternative route and where exactly are we, he admitted he had no idea and had never been on those roads. You won’t be surprised to hear that we got to Stansted and on time. We had a good laugh !! So thank you noel and Susan for so many years of friendship and support. Dear Susan and family,
I came to know Noel when working with Roy and Elisabeth at RTSS. Roy would finish editing and creating the audio tapes for shows and events and Noel would deliver them to me, often at an airport or some other venue. Waiting to receive the tapes was sometimes a little stressful but Noel always had a smile on his face, was calm and delivered the package on time.
I had no idea how he managed in the traffic, that but he did.
Noel was a gentleman and I can only imagine how he’ll be missed by his family.
