Nancy O’Connor (née O’Connor)

Ballygaddy Road, Tuam, Co. Galway; late of Nirvana, Convent Road, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon and The Square, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo (January 25th, 2026) – peacefully after a short illness in her 97th year in the care of the Doctors, nurses and staff of Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Des, her parents Lizzie (also know as Cissie) and Edward O’Connor, her sister Maureen and her nephew Martin.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Elizabeth, sons Desmond, Edward and Brian, grandchildren Brendan, David, Rachel, Brian, Alison, Eddie, Lorraine and Courtney, her son-in-law Joe, daughters-in-law Valerie and Deirdre, niece Rachel, relatives and her many friends.

May She Rest In Peace

Nancy will lie in repose in The Kilgarriff Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Saturday from 12 noon with removal at 1pm to The Cathedral of the Annunciation & St. Nathy, Ballaghaderreen arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 1:30 o’clock.

Burial afterwards in Kilcolman Cemetery.
