Condolences to all far and wide on the passing of one of Ballina most adored citizens, Mona Curry, especially family connections. She was ever active in the community in helping all and sundry across so many fronts. Highly accomplished as an artiste, her work was beautifully executed and always inspiring. Her recall of the old town was amazing and she reproduced scenes of long ago with amazing accuracy. It was always a delight to meet her as she was so positive, funny, and wise. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

My condolences are with Mona’s family and many friends. A richly talented. Ballina lady we have much to be proud of.
I cannot but admire every brush stroke that so beautifully made alive the whole St. Patrick story depicted in her magnificent stained class windows in St. Patricks Church. There is so much more besides she contributed to Church, Commerce, Music, and Art in the paintings she created.
May she rest in the Eternal Peace she richly deserves.

I remember as a young lad in the early 1950’s working in Murphy Bros Offices in King St. as a messenger boy, Mona was so good to me as was Seamus Acton who used to give me the orders to take over to the flour mills. God Bless Her 🙏☘️
