Michael Moran

We are deeply saddened with the passing of our lovely neighbour & friend Michael at a young age, he may be gone ahead of us all, but will never be forgotten for his witty jokes etc.
Michael carried the history and Ancestry of his neighbours and relations far and near, he was a great Historian and storyteller with everyone’s Ancestral records embedded safely in his head.
Though he can no longer tell those stories of times gone by etc. What a great loss for all who loved and enjoyed hearing them.
Michael loved the simple things in life, a few pints of Guinness with family and friends in Coadys Bar, the craic and a good singsong. He was always very careful about what he would eat BUT never careful about giving his time, his stories and his kindness to others. Michael was such a lovely guy and his presence will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
May his memories bring you all comfort and may Michael rest in peace 🙏

To the Moran family we are deeply saddened on the loss of Michael our next door neighbour. Michael was devoted to his family, friends and neighbours and was a valued member of staff at MUH. He took great pride in his family home and farm, which was always immaculate. The same could be said of his meticulous attention to the upkeep of the family grave in Glenisland cemetery. Michael was a great neighbour. Our family will miss him. Rest in peace, Michael.

I am so sorry to read this, Rest in Peace dearest Michael,what a lovely gentleman he was. I have known Michael since childhood,he used to work on the roads when I was a child, we used to sit with him and the other men when they were having their teabreak for a chat. Lovely memories. Caught up with him again when he started to come shopping with his lovely mam R.I.P in SuperValu many years ago, used to have a chat every week, he was always smiling and good humoured. Shocked and saddened to hear this awful news, Michael was a friend to everyone, a local historian with a wealth of knowledge but above all a gentleman, great neighbour and friend, deepest sympathy to his brothers John Joe, Peter and Stephen sisters Una, Ann, Rosaleen and Bridie and the extended Moran family, Michael spent most Sunday afternoons in Glenisland Cemetery tending the family grave and the graves of others who weren’t fortunate enough to have loved ones, Rest in peace Michael you deserve it.
