It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael “Mikey” Flynn, who departed this life on October 30, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on August 6th 1938 in Cloughbrack, Clonbur, County Galway, Ireland.
Michael was a cherished husband (Ellen), son, brother, and friend to many.
Michael is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary and Michael Flynn, and his sister, Anne Sullivan, brother Johnny.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ellen (nee Curran Athenry) who stood by his side throughout their many years together. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary McBride (Ted), nieces, nephews, and a large extended family including brothers-in-law Thomas, Michael, and Johnny Curran; sisters-in-law Anne Flynn, Anne Zonnenblick, Kate Larson, Margaret Kelly, and Martina Pennington; and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral Mass on Friday May 8th 2026 in St. Patrick’s Church, Clonbur, Co. Galway at 12 noon with burial afterwards of Michael’s Ashes in Rosshill Graveyard , Clonbur.
