August 17th, 2026 (unexpectedly) at Galway University College Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ellen, and his beloved sister Kate (Flanagan), and his brother Pat.

Beloved husband of Marie (Finan) and loving father of Michelle (McLoughlin, Swinford), Claire (Kelly, Ballinasloe) and David (Castlerea).

Mike will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, his son and daughters, his adored grandchildren James, Dara, Odhran, Isla, Jack and Cian.
Also, by his brother Cormac (Boyle), and sisters Martha (Joyce, Glenamaddy), Celia (D’Arcy, Castlerea), and Mary (Donlon, Glinsk).

Sons-in-law James and Micheal, daughter-in-law Sarah-Louise, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea  (F45 V2Y4)   on Thursday evening from 4.30 with removal at 7pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday morning at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Mike’s funeral Mass will be live streamed on St. Patrick’s Church webcam.
