Michael (Mickey) Mulligan

Ballindrimley, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon – 31st July 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He is predeceased by his brother Andy.

Mickey will be sadly missed by his loving wife Breege (née Lohan), daughters Lynda, Julie, Pamela, Paula and Susan, son Mikki, brother Tom, his adored nine grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, extended family and friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his home (eircode F45V620) on Sunday from 4pm until 7pm.

Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am on Monday.

Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Mickey’s Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the St. Patrick’s Church webcam.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Kidney Association c/o Gaynor Funeral Directors.

It was sad to hear that Mickie has passed away. We had a long chat the day before his daughters wedding. We hunted for pheasants many a time, we both worked for Dolen’s in Castlerea. I would cycle to his house in Cloonard and get a lift into town. Some Monday mornings i would give him a hand to milk the cows. My first solo drive was in his old Ford Prefect car with the three foot gear stick, met a bus at McDermott’s corner. No problem. Great memories. My sincere condolences to his wife Breege, his five daughters, son and brother. May you rest in peace Mickie.
