Birmingham, UK and formerly of Gorthbrack, Pullathomas, Ballina, Co. Mayo, passed away peacefully at his home on 13th May, surrounded by his devoted family.
A proud Mayo man, Michael held a lifelong love for his home place and remained closely connected to his roots throughout his life.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Sarah (née Doherty, Porturlin), his parents Michael and Mary Deane, his brother Andy, and his sister Bridie McGrath (Kilgalligan).
Michael will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters Sandra and Fiona; sons-in-law Brian and Con; cherished grandchildren Caitlin, Liam, Keelin, Eoin and Charlie; brothers Tommy and Anthony (Gorthbrack); brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends.

Monday, 1st June 2026: Reception into Our Lady of Assumption (Maryvale) Church, 82 Old Oscott Hill, B44 9SP, at 6pm.
Tuesday, 2nd June 2026: Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial at Oscott Cemetery, New Oscott, Hawthorn Brook Way, B23 5LF.
