May Molloy (née Higgins)

Ower, Headford, Co. Galway and formerly of St. Mary’s Road, Shrule, Co. Mayo.

Predeceased by her husband John.

She died peacefully on the 29th June 2025 at Galway Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Her loss is deeply felt by her beloved daughters Mary, Kaye, Julie, Margaret, Bernadette, Martha and Cora; sons Pat, Michael and Sean; sons-in-law Martin, Bill, Jan and David, daughters-in-law Philomena, Pauline and Susy.

Grandchildren Jonathan, Conor, Daniel, Karla, Moya, Joseph, Nathan, Grace, Freya, Elliott and Mikey. Great-grandchildren Column, Ava and Fiachra; brother John (New York), sister-in-law Nora Higgins (Shrule), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May She Rest in Peace

Reposing at Carey’s Funeral Home, Headford (H91 E6X9) on Wednesday 2nd of July, from 6:30pm-8:00pm, followed by removal to St Mary’s Church, Claran.

Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Claran on Thursday the 3rd of July at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Killursa cemetery.

I grew up with May. Our houses were a few hundred yards apart. I have fond memories of her frequently coming to our house. She was such a lovely kind person. May she rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to Mary ,Kay, Julie patsy,Michael,Sean, Margaret, Cora,and Martha. I have happy memories of walking up to ower after school in kilroe with Julie. Your mam was always so nice to me and my brother Tom who was in patsy class. Sorry Bernadette I forgot you .May she rest in peace after her life’s hard work.
