Kilgeever, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo and Cluide, Corrandulla, Co. Galway – peacefully at home, following a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family & friends on October 17th 2025.
Predeceased by her dad Mark, father-in-law Joe Forde & brother-in-law Mayer Simon.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Joe, children Matthew, Zoe, Gavin & Casey, mother Kathleen (née O’Toole), sisters Catherine, Yvonne, Angela, Joanne, & Marcella, mother-in-law Bridie Forde, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended O’Grady & Forde families, nursing colleagues at MUH & GUH, neighbours, and a large circle of friends.

Maureen will rest in repose at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Louisburgh on Monday (Oct. 20th) from 5:00pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers at 8:00pm.
Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Louisburgh on Tuesday at 11:30am for 12 noon Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in Kilgeever cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Order of Malta Louisburgh c/o Sweeney Funeral Directors, Louisburgh.
House private please on Saturday and Tuesday morning, open house on Sunday.
