Mattie (Matthew) Walsh

MATTIE-WALSH

Cummer, Rahins, Castlebar and formerly of Slogger, Westport – peacefully in Mayo University Hospital in his 92nd year on 10th August 2025.

Predeceased by his loving wife Mary Kirkpatrick, Cameron, parents Martin and Mary, brothers Marty, Johnny, Mick, Frank, sisters Kathleen, Tina, Sue.

Mattie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his step son Richard Kirkpatrick and his wife Ann, grandchildren Ricky, David, Jenny Kirkpatrick and Colin and Michelle Forrestal, great-grandchildren, his dear sister Belinda Tunney ( Westport), sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace

Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, F23 XY63  on Tuesday 12th August from 5.30  with removal at 7 o’clock  to Holy Rosary Church, Glenisland, F12 E702.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in Aughaval Cemetery, Westport, Co. Mayo.
