Mary Ruane (née McLoughlin)

“Meeltrane”, Link Road, Brownshill, Carlow and formerly of Meeltrane, Aghamore, Knock, Co. Mayo – peacefully surrounded by her family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny following the gentle and kind care of Signa Care Killerig on August 30th, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Tom and treasured mother of Mary, Ann, Tom, Margaret and Kevin.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons, brother John, sons-in-law Henry, Declan and Fergal, daughters-in-law Anne and Anne, cherished grandchildren Niamh, Laura, Niall, Conor, Dylan and Ciara, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Tom and Jim and by her sister Margaret.

May Mary Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home (R93 PX27) on Monday (Sept 1st) from 3pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am in the Church of the Holy Family, Askea, Carlow (R93 AE39). Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Askea Day Care Centre.
