Mary Rafferty (née Durkan)

Killavil, Ballymote, Co. Sligo and formerly of Floughena, Co. Mayo (March 18th, 2026) – very peacefully at her home aged 101 years.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy and daughter Ursula.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her son Dermot, daughters Connie, Joan, Imelda and Maureen.

Special Nana to Yvonne, Selina, Imelda, Annette, Brian, Colleen, Kyra and Tara. Great-Nana to Laoise, Conor and Eanna.

Remembered by her sisters-in-law Nonie, Jean and Ger. Her nieces, nephews, kind neighbours and friends.

May Mary’s Soul Rest in Eternal Peace Amen

Mary will repose in Perry’s Funeral Home, Ballymote, Co Sligo (F56TK20) on Sunday, 22^nd March from 5pm to 7.30pm with removal to the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Killavil arriving at 8pm for prayers.

Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon on Monday 23^rd March with burial afterwards in St. Columba’s Cemetery, Ballymote.

House strictly private and family flowers only please.

Dear Connie, Joan, Imelda, Maureen, Dermot and all the clan, my condolences and prayers are with you all at this very sad time of the loss of your dear Mother and Nana and Great Nana, Sister-in-law and Aunt. Mary will be fondly remembered for being a very gentle, warmhearted lady, always with a smile! She had a great, strong faith and blessed with a long, wonderful life.
