May Mary rest in peace, a lovely woman we all knew in town, she was also vice principal in Davitt College when I was a student there in the late 1980s. Always had a good word to say and very friendly towards everyone. In school she was always one person we could go to and was very helpful any time called for.
As I’m from town would have known Mary from an early age and as I also knew most of the family growing up in town, she was one of the last of her generation.

I’m so, so sorry to hear that Ms. Gillivan (as we called her in Davitt College) has passed away. She was the kindest and loveliest teacher and I have such fond memories of her at school. She was our vice principal.
