My Sincere sympathies to you Brendan and family.
I was in national school with Mary. We played up around the lake on summer evenings. It was years later before I met Mary again. I had organised a teachers’ course in Curraghbaggon NS. My sister Mary ( Faughnan ) suggested we ask Mary to make sandwiches for the teachers lunch break. OMG. It was down tools when those sandwiches arrived. The smell of the scallions, lettuce, parsley and fresh ham brought the work to a halt. They were full of deliciousness of the purest kind. I can still smell them and taste them. There were no short cuts. They were just perfect. I’d say everything Mary did was with the same generosity of spirit and soul. Many many thanks for those lovely memories

So sorry to hear about Mary. I am in the US and the Timlins are my cousins. I met Mary and Michael in 2013 at Donna Barrett’s Wedding. Mary had tea with us at Pontoon Hotel. She gave me a quick list of her family tree. My grandmother was Catherine Timlin McShane. My sincere sympathy to all the family on the loss of Mary. Brendan, Sharon, Siobhan and Samantha, I was very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing.
Mary was a truly kind and gentle woman and a heart of gold – she even taught me how to cook. When I worked in the junction she was like a mum to so many of us, always looking out for the younger crew and you could talk to her about anything. Brendan, Sharon, Siobhan and Samantha I am so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing.

She was one of a kind and was the backbone of The Junction for sure. Her kindness extended to all of us, always. That kind smile was always on her face and her genuine interest in people and warm compassion made her a friend to all. She loved the craic too didn’t she.
It was a pleasure to know and work alongside Mary. She loved telling us about her family, she was forever proud.
