Martin O’Hora

Drumcondra, Dublin 9 and Parke, Castlebar, Co. Mayo – peacefully in the kind care of the staff of the Mater Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Mary.

Devoted father to Paul, Brian, Martin, Alan, Sandra, Fergal and Niamh and father-in-law to Jane, Eileen, Breda, Carmel, Rory, and the late Breffni.

Adored grandfather to Aoife, Conor, Ruth, Rachel, Kate, Grace, Aidan, Louise, Sarah, Tara, Dara, Ronan, Becky and Conor, and great-grandfather to Amelie, Noah and Ella.

Loving brother to Dick and Pat.

Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Anne, Maudie, Jimmy and Michael.

Sadly missed by his extended family, friends, neighbours and former colleagues in An Garda Síochána.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at his residence on Monday (8th December) from 6pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday (9th December) in the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Marino at 11:30am followed by burial at St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

So sad to hear of Martins Passing. My deepest sympathy to his wife Mary and all his family. I worked with him in the Bridewell Dublin. He was very well respected for his advise and help to younger gardai. A great GAA man who never forgot his Mayo roots. He loved living so close to Croke Park as he was able to attend plenty of games.
