Martin J. Mulroy

I wish to extend my sincere sympathies and condolences to the family of Father Martin. We were classmates together in All Hallows and we shared many good times together. He was a kind and gentle soul. May he rest in peace. Amen. I have offered Mass for the repose of his immortal soul. God bless, Father Gerard.

Fond memories of a very diligent and studious member of the old Class of 1984 in the old College in Dublin. Fr Martin was much esteemed and valued as a team player in many rounds of activities, even the Debating Society, though he was demure and deferential and practised much humility in class, a real long lasting inspiration to many of his associates and classmates. Mrs B wishes to be remembered – she sends condolences from her 4 strong sons of a fine old woman, practising a ministry of intercession for the missionary boys of that College often, and 3 of these will organise a requiem mass for the repose of a great icon and hero of human rights for seminarians. Fond memories, Rest in Peace, old friend.

Our condolences and sympathies from England for the sad news of the passing of a great missionary Fr Martin, as we have just heard about his death this week, at his presbytery in Bristol. Fr Martin was a graduate of the esteemed Missionary College at AHC Dublin and was much valued as a classmate by his friends and his acquaintances from that College. My 3 sons, Fr Richard, Fr Bernard, Fr David, all will be celebrating a requiem mass for the happy repose of Fr Martin’s very sanctified soul. He was a great inspiration for many of his collegiate classmates and the missionaries of that College, especially Fr Jamesie and Fr Gerardo his two long term friends and travelling companions. May his soul rest in peace.

Martin was one of the kindest and most gentle souls we’ve ever known. As Jim’s cousin and as the priest who married us, he brought warmth, joy, and a beautiful sense of fun to that special day, filling the church with genuine love. We will always be deeply grateful for the kindness and affection he showed us over the years. It was always such a pleasure to see him. Our hearts go out to all his family — we know how deeply he will be missed.
