Marie was a lady, she took great care of my father Mike (RIP), she always went the extra mile and always with a smile, a wonderful caring nurse, wife, mother. Heaven has gained yet another angel. Very sad to hear of Marie’s passing. She was the best diabetes nurse and an amazing person. She was always there with great advice and a smile on her face. Going to diabetes clinics can be very stressful with all its ups and downs, its highs and lows, but with Marie she always managed to find a bit of humour and put you at ease. When Raymond was in the hospital she would always call to see him even after her hours were finished from the busy day.
She was always cheerful and yes she would come down the corridor in her heels 👠
Marie was a neat small lady but BIG in all her life and work.

I remember Marie being my nurse for gestational diabetes in Castlebar-she was so glamourous and loved her heels. She was friendly , full of fun and stories. I enjoyed seeing her and chatting to her-she was amazing at what she did- My deepest sympathies to all who loved her. I am truly sorry for your huge loss.
