Margaret (Margo) Cassidy née Devally

Scallen Road, Trillick, Omagh, Co. Tyrone and formerly of Cuddoo, Colemanstown, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway (September 13th, 2025) – peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Agnes, her infant sister Teresa and her sister-in-law Ellen.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her heartbroken husband James, brothers Vincent and Kevin, sisters Dympna, Kathleen, Ann, Carol and Aedamer, mother-in-law Alicia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Margo will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Wednesday from 5pm until 7pm.

Removal from the home of her niece-in-law Michelle Jordan, Kilmovee on Thursday at 11am to St. Patrick’s Church, Gurteen arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon, followed by interment in Naomh Mobhí cemetery.

When I was 10 years old, I was cycling down a bumpy road on a family holiday to Ireland. I had a crash and a lady heard me crying, she came and mended my wounds, she didn’t know I was her cousin in law when she heard my screams, she dropped everything, nursed me and brought me home to my family. I don’t have many memories other than those of love, compassion and a big smile on her face.
