He was everything rolled into one. A great family man.a great father, great husband and what endeared him most to the parish of Knockmore was he was a great footballer , a warrior.

Liam “ Wing It “ loved Knockmore and Knockmore loved him.
I wouldn’t hesitate to say he would die for the Saffron and Blue.
Liam Mac Hale both on and off the field was a very special person. He was an extraordinary footballer.
He had a huge engine and an even bigger heart.
He could swing a game in an instant with his impeccable displays.
History will tell us about the brave warrior Cuchullian was , but Liam Mc Hale was our warrior,,
He will be remembered forever as an inspirational player, so spectacular and honest, the swagger, the leap, plucking the ball from the clouds, the unforgettable famous solo runs, the famous left foot, ( A few famous left hooks as well), the commitment, the memories will live forever and ever.
He imbued us all with his passion and pride in our home place.

We owe Liam Mac Hale so much that can never be repaid, but then nothing he ever done was for thanks but for pure pride in Knockmore and its people,.

Liam Mc Hale was my friend, my greatest inspiration, he was my hero.

Knockmore joins with his beloved wife Ann, his daughters Anita,Elaine and Sandra, his sons Mark, Liam and Brian, and every member of the family and wider family circle, in grieving for this man of so many parts and talents.
