Leo Patrick O’Hara

New Hyde Park, NY and formerly of Killure, Aclare, Co. Sligo – passed away peacefully on 6th of June, 2026.

Dearly missed by his sons Michael James (Linda), Leo (Kathy), Brendan (Anna Maria), Tom (Jenn) and his daughter Cathy.

Cherished grandfather to Kelly (Derek), Patrick, James, Michael John, Claire, Michael Leo, Brendan, Lily and Eamon. Also, his great grandsons, Leo and
Owen.

Sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Phil O’Hara (Killure), Patricia Walsh (Offaly) and his sister Phil O’Hara and brother-in-law Denis (Carrowkeel, Sligo) and his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his wife Mary and their infant son Patrick, his brothers Michael, Brendan and sisters Rita, Margaret, Josie, Kathleen and Frankie, and his parents Michael and Catherine O’Hara.

Funeral will take place in Notre Dame RC Church, New Hyde Park, NY on Wednesday, June 10th at 10.45

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Leo’s passing and wish to pass our condolences on to all the family. He was a regular and always welcome visitor to my parents, Margaret and Tom Davey in Plymouth, Devon when I was a child. We last met in Killure when Sue and I spent a long and happy day chatting about the O’Hara family history with himself and Brendon.
