Kathleen Ruddy née Tunney (better known as Kitty)

Derrycoosh, Rahins, Castlebar and Cloonrane, Ballindine and formerly of Knappagh, Westport – peacefully at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar, on 11th June 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her loving husband Joe and her son Gerard, her parents Jim and Nora Tunney (née Gibbons), sisters Bridie O’Malley (Knappagh) and brother Paddy (Knappagh, Westport).

She will be sadly missed by her loving family her daughters: Marita, Noreen, Karina and Ann; her sons Pat and Joey; her 15 grandchildren and her great- grandson; her sister Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends and all the family circle.

May she rest in peace.

Kathleen will repose at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar F23 FD90, on Sunday, 15th June from 5.00pm to 6.30pm.

The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Monday for Funeral Mass at 11.30am.

The Mass will be live-streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar or it can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm.

After Mass, Kathleen will be laid to rest in Castlebar New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar with her beloved husband Joe and son Gerard.
