Joseph (Jody) Torsney

Renua House, Tubbercurry and formerly of Gortnadrass, Lavagh, Ballymote, Co. Sligo (20^th August, 2025) – peacefully after a short illness surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and careers at Sligo University Hospital and the North West Hospice.

Predeceased by his beloved mother Bridget.

He will be sadly missed by the staff and residents of Renua House, family and friends.

Rest in Peace

Joseph will repose at the Knocknashee Community Hub, Lavagh (F56W744) on Thursday, 21^st August from 6pm to 7:30pm, followed by removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mullinabreena (F56 C864) for prayers at 8pm.

Joseph’s Funeral Mass will take place at 12 noon on Friday, 22^nd August with burial afterwards in Court Abbey Cemetery.

The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the Achonry Mullinabreena Church Facebook page.
