He was a wonderful kind person to me many visits to his home in west Dublin back in the days.
A great horseman as well with his great contribution to the building of Dublin City with his business partner Thomas F Brennan.
God rest his dear soul in his heavenly home for ever 🙏.

I have great memories of spending summer holidays on the farm with my father’s brother’s boys in the 1950s and especially Joe who helped me greatly in the 1980s. I am truly saddened that I didn’t see him again before it was too late.

Great memories of Secondary School days at St. Patricks, Swinford when Joe and his brother Paddy would cycle from Tavneena to Swinford daily for school and regardless of the weather, whether it was rain, stormy, or snow they were never late. When Joe became probably the biggest builder/developer in Ireland (Brennan & McGowan) I always felt he deserved success. R.I.P. Joe.
