John Thomas (Tom) McDermott

Coundon, Coventry, England and formerly of Mullagh, Kilsallagh, Westport, Co Mayo.

Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday 8th July 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Aged 90 years.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary and his sisters Margaret and Molly.

Dearly loved father of Regina (Coventry), Maria (Coventry), John (Harpenden) and
Finola (Copenhagen). Father-in-law of Brian and Grandad of Logan, Florence and Michael.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Reception into Christ the King Catholic Church, Coventry, CV6 2AA on Monday 20th July 2026 at 6pm.
Requiem Mass on Tuesday 21st July 2026 at 11.00am.

To be followed by Memorial Mass at St Patrick’s Church, Lecanvey, Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland F28 EY82 on Thursday 23rd July at 11:30am with burial in Murrisk Abbey, Westport immediately afterwards.

The requiem Mass in Coventry may be viewed via live streaming on the Christ the King Church, Coventry website.
