Cross, Edmondstown, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon – unexpected yet peacefully, at Sligo University Hospital on June 25th, 2026.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, his brothers Gerry, Patrick “P”, Aiden and his nephew James.

John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his brother Peter, sister Mary McGill (Cloonloo), brother-in-law Kieran, nephews Andrew (Australia), Paul, Niall, Mark, Colin, Peter, Alan and Aiden, nieces Sinead, Valerie and Louise, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, his carers Lorraine and Ruth and his many friends in the Ozanam Centre.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

John will lie in repose in The Kilgarriff Funeral Home, Ballaghadereen on Sunday evening from 5 o’clock with removal at 7 o’clock to the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St. Nathy, Ballaghaderren – arriving at 7:30pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Monday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Kilcolman cemetery.
