Died in Leeds on 5th July 2025, aged 75.

Formerly of Shraigh Hill, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and latterly of Garforth, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, peacefully at St. Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds. John was lovingly cared for in the months prior by his family at home.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret Irene, his son Micheal, his parents John and Mary, his brothers Patrick (Leeds) and Michael Joseph (Manchester), and his sisters Annie (Foxford) and Mary Kate (Edinburgh).

Cherished father of Michelle, father-in-law of Anthony, and dearly loved by James. Adored grandfather of Patrick and Grace.

Sadly missed and remembered by his sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass will take place at 11 am on Wednesday 30th July at Saint Benedict’s Catholic Church, Garforth, Leeds, followed by cremation at Lawnswood Crematorium.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, can be made in John’s name to St. Gemma’s Hospice.
