He was friendly welcoming, and always had time for a chat. I have fond memories of being in Tiernan’s house in Kilgarriff “wren boying”. John Martin, and his parents Kate & Paddy always treated us to tea and Christmas cake.

I have so many memories of John Martin from my childhood. He was a great friend of our family and throughout the years when we would meet at Bushfield Mass or Kilgarriff, we would chat and he would gently remind me of our ages! Rest in Peace John Martin
