Many happy hours were spent in Johnny’s company over the years with the Claremorris Arts Committee. Thanks to Johnny’s vision, many hundreds of artists had the opportunity to exhibit their work in the annual Claremorris Open Exhibition, which he was passionate about, and for many many years his name was synonymous with contemporary art in Connacht. He will be remembered also for his involvement in many other organisations in the town.

We were all so very sorry to have learned of the passing of Johnny Kirrane. Johnny was a gentleman to his fingertips. A most wonderful man for his local town of Claremorris, where Johnny was heavily involved in many committees, where he took great interest in anything that he was involved with. Johnny’s dedication and love to his family was always first class.
