John Joe Leyden

Cuilmore, Gurteen, Co. Sligo (December 7^th, 2025) – peacefully, in wonderful care of the North West Hospice, with his family by his side.

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Patrick, his sisters Loretta, Philomena, Pauline and Leta Ann and his brothers Cyril, Eamon, Padraic and Michael.

John Joe will be very sadly missed and remembered with love by his sisters Gena, Beatie, Mary, Patricia, and Geraldine, brothers-in-law Gerry, Charlie and Francis, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.

May John Joe’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

John Joe will repose at O’Dowd’s Funeral Home, Gurteen, on Tuesday (December 9th) from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.

Removal on Wednesday to St. Patrick’s Church, Gurteen for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Mount Irwin Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on www.churchtv.ie/gurteen
