Carnakib, Headford, Co. Galway – unexpectedly on 18th September 2025, aged 63.
Pre-deceased by his father John Joe, mother Nora, brothers Tom, David and Cormac, and his nephew Darren.
Sadly missed by his son Aidan, daughter Sinéad, their mother Maeve, daughter-in-law Nicola, Sinéad’s partner Padraic, grandchildren Odhran, Saoirse and Tiernan, brothers and sisters Veronica Glynn (New York), Noel (Connecticut), Paraic (Carnakib), Ciaran (New York), Yvonne Kelly (Kilmaine), Deirdre Curran (Headford) and Karen McCormack (Carnakib), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

John Gerard will repose at Carey’s Funeral Home, Claran Road, Headford (H91 E6X9) on Tuesday evening, September 23rd from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.
Removal from the home of his son Aidan on Wednesday morning, September 24th to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Claran (H91 A030) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.
Burial afterwards in Killursa Cemetery.
