Kinlough, Headford, Co. Galway – peacefully on the 9th of March 2025 in the loving care of the staff at Friar’s Lodge Nursing Home, Ballinrobe.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, second wife Pam, children-in-law Seamus and Nina and his brothers Joe, Brendan, Cecil, Frank, Eamon and
Peter.
John will be greatly missed by his sister Mary, sister-in-law Ann, his children Tom, Patricia, Bernie, John, Brendan and Jarlath, his grandchildren Juliana, Niall, Donal, Elaine, Ciaran, Alan, Claire, Daniel, Sinéad and Meadbh, his great-grandchildren Bobby and Ava, daughter-in-law Mary, nieces and nephews, his extended family, neighbours, friends and all who knew him.

Reposing at Cradock’s Funeral Home (H91 RF1C) Shrule on Monday, March 10th, from 6pm until 8pm with removal afterwards to his daughter’s house (Bernie) in Ballinrobe.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 11th, at 10:30 am in Shrule Church, followed by burial afterwards in Shrule Cemetery.
The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on https://www.churchtv.ie/shrule/ and will also be broadcast on local radio on 101.4 FM.
