Farnaght, Westport, formerly of Breslin’s Bar, Drummin and late of Carrowmore-Lacken, Co. Mayo – peacefully at Mayo University Hospital on August 28th 2024 – surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Ann, sister May, bothers Martin, Vincent, Michael and Jimmy.
Cherished father of Fiona and Sharon, devoted and loving grandfather to Sadhbh and father-in-law to Harry. John will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Catherine and Joan, his nephews, nieces and a wide circle of friends in Lacken, Drummin, Farnaght, Westport and in London where he lived for many years.

Reposing at McGing’s Funeral Home, Westport (F28 RX58) on Friday evening (August 30th) from 5 o’clock with removal at 6.30 to St. Mary’s Church, Westport.
The Public Queue For Entry Into Funeral Home Will Now Be From The Shop Street Direction.
Requiem Mass on Saturday morning (August 31st) at 11 o’clock with the funeral proceeding to Drummin Cemetery.
