Toorglass, Belmullet, Co. Mayo – peacefully, at the Belmullet Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on 13th June 2026.
Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Murphy and his brothers Johnny, Tony and Mickey.
Beloved husband of Maura and dear father of John, Andy, Brendan and Sharon. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, grandchildren Danica, Blaine, Fayth, Rían, Finnán, Óisín, Aoibheann, Niamh and Michael, great-grandson Noah, daughters in law Louise and Andrea, Sharon’s partner John , brothers Pat (London) and Andy (Corclough East, Belmullet), Ann Gaughan (Ballyglass, Belmullet) and Mary Walsh (Drumreagh, Clogher, Belmullet), brother in law Henry Joe, sister in law Josie, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Joe will lie in repose at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Sunday evening from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock with the funeral arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet at 7.30pm.
Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.
