Deepest sympathies to Joseph, Maria, Robert and Clare on the death of your dear dad Josie; and to Enda, Amanda, Ari Charlotte, all of Josies grandchildren, the Killala McDonnells, and all of Josies family and friends on this sad time for you all. Josie was such a great character, he really loved life, and loved to tell stories; everything from playing football for Ballycastle, his days in St Muredach’s College, or the different scrapes he got into with the Munnelly’s. We have many many fond memories of him in our family. May God grant him his eternal reward.

Dear Clare, Enda, Vin, Roisin, Dan, Joe, Manda, Jim, Katie, Lizzie, Paddy, Maria, Ari, Eve, Luke, Robert, Charlotte, Jacob, Megan, Penny & all the Killala McDonnells. We are so sorry to hear about Josie, he was a gentleman. I have very fond memories from our visits to Leeds where he & Maureen were always so welcoming & his visits to Mayo, in particular with Vinnie in Gilvarrys at Mackerel Monday. One of the more memorable occasions was when he was the recipient of the Hall of Fame award from Ballycastle GAA club, it was a great night and was well deserved for a very proud Ballycastle man. Rest in peace Josie, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

I am very sorry to hear of the sad loss of your beloved Joe. I am one of the Stauntons from Cappaduff. Mary Heneghan is my Auntie. I met Joe a few times in Tourmakeady during summer holiday times with you and your beautiful Mom Maureen, always a pleasure to meet. Good times!
