I’m so sorry to read of Joe’s death. In his youth, Joe worked with my father in Bridge St. Ballina. He was such a lovely friendly and good humoured man. We’d always reminisce about those days whenever our paths crossed in town. That hadn’t happened for quite a while now. We are so sad for the passing of Joe. An absolute legend , character and neighbour! Like so many , Joe was a huge part of us growing up in killala always involved with youth getting the best out of us. For me, my time at music and basketball has memories filled with joes sarcasm and praise in his own way of giving it. Banging on a drum singing loudly and being heard. To Fiona, Cathriona , Paul and Brian your loss is hugely felt but he is with his Breege now 2 peas in a pod! May he rest in peace.
