Today our thoughts are especially with his beloved wife Geraldine, his adored daughter, Joanna and his favourite littlest person in the world Fiadh — the tiny girl who changed his whole outlook on life and brought him such pride and softness.

Joe was a character… one of life’s truly loveable souls. The kind of man who leaves stories behind him and laughter in every room. A man who deserves the biggest, comfiest bed in heaven.

We know his Mammy and Daddy Eileen and John met him with open arms in heaven. They loved him so much and now they have him again and when he reached heaven, they calmed the seas that took him.

May he forever watch over his beautiful family from the paradise he earned.

I bought a Swaledale Ram off Joe a few years ago, I still have him to this day. I had a grand conversation with Joe who proudly listed out the features of that breed to me and their hardiness.
