Knockroe, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon – May 25th 2026, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his beloved parents, Mary and James, his brothers John, Miko, Joe, Pat, Aidan, and Brendan and his sister Mary.
Husband to Kathleen, loving father to Ken (London), Alan (Castlerea), David (Chester), Carola (Florida), Derek (Aughnacliffe).
James will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, heartbroken children, his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kellie, Nia, Finn, Aidan, Halle, James, Jack, Georgia, Darragh, and Annie, daughter in law Kathryn, Alan’s partner Derval, Derek’s partner Shirley and Ken’s partner Michelle, his brother and sisters Eamon, Celia, Kathleen, Helen and Theresa, brother-in- laws, sister-in- law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gaynor’s Funeral Home, The Square, Castlerea (F45 HH24) on Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 7pm, followed by Prayers and reception into St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea.
Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
James’ funeral Mass will be live-streamed and can be viewed on Gaynor Funeral Directors Facebook page.
