How shocked and saddened we were on learning of the death of James (Jimmy) Roche. Jimmy was a very nice person, all of his life. A great man at keeping his community together. He was very much involved in so many organisations in his parish. Jimmy along with his wife Eleanor took such an immense pride in their family, where Jimmy cherrished and adored all of his eleven grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. Jimmy Roche’s passing has left a tremendous void in his community at Irishtown, which will be rather difficult to replace.
I remember Jimmy and his wife Eleanor on the dance floor going back some years ago. What a most beautiful couple they both were, and especially on that dance flour, where they both had an audience, when they took to the dance floor.
Jimmy didn’t just dance, he told beautiful stories, he had a wonderful sense of humour, his wit and charn was priceless, he moved with a grace that inspired so many of us.
May Jimmy now find eternal Rhythm and peace in his heavenly home in heaven.
We send our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Eleanor on the death of her dear and much loved husband Jimmy. Im heartbroken to see this notice this morning..I had the privilege of meeting and having lovely chats with Jimmy during his treatment in Cbar..I not only discovered he was from Irishtown but that he knew both my now deceased parents and remembered them well..[Floss Godfrey]..he was an absolute gentleman and my last conversation with him was his excitement at the prospect of stopping off at Mc Donald’s on the way home for a burger..Thinking of you all at this sad and lonely time♥️
