Jim and his late wife Kat ran the local shop in Castleiney village for may years, were always friendly and in good humour and very obliging. On my mothers passing in 2010 Jim took the trouble to send us a very warm letter of sympathy and highlighting how welcome she had made them feel when they first came to live in the village. May he rest in peace.
