Hugh Hynes

Rathfarnham, Dublin and Aughamore, Co Mayo, 2nd August 2025, peacefully in Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Beloved husband of Mary and loving dad of Ann Frances and Marie. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, sons-in-law Donal and Chris, grandsons Kieran and Adam, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Hugh will be reposing from 3pm – 5pm on Tuesday afternoon at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, the Eden Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarnham. Funeral mass on Wednesday morning at 10am in the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange followed by burial in Culmore Cemetery, Kilkelly, Co Mayo. (arriving at 3.30pm approx.)

So sorry to hear of the passing of my cousin Hughie. I hadn’t seen him for a good number of years as I live in Scotland but my children still remember visiting him in Esker and feeding his horses in the field. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace.
