We’d meet the odd time in Claremorris over the years & it was always great to have the chat, she was so proud of her family & of course we’d end up reminiscing about Cloonfad. It was with our deepest sympathy that we all learned of the death of Helen Forde. Helen was a most beautiful lady I have known Helen since my children started National school, back in the late 80’s.
Helen had an outstanding exuberant personality. Helen was overflowing with lively energy, she could and did, bring great life back to people’s lives, even back to boring people. Helen attended many meetings down through the years, from vintage shows to equestrian VFI, and many more. Helen would bounce into those meetings, she had a spring in her step, always looking so stylish and elegant on entering any room, always having her best foot forward.
Helen along with her husband Malachy ran a very successful business the country club, where Helen made every person who entered that venue feel seen and valued with a warm welcome. Helen was a wonderful host, and a great listener. When people came through the door for a beverage, very often staying for Helens great conversations and company. Every glass raised at the country club, will for ever carry a great and wonderful memory of the beautiful Helen Forde.
We now send our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all of Helens Family. who are all heart broken over the loss of Wife Mother and grandmother, dear Helen. To Malachy on the death of his great and dear wife, to Helens cherrished and much loved Daughter Karen and son Andrew. To her very dear Grandchildren whome Helen adored and cherished
