Fiona was a great friend down through the years since we first met in Davitt House and even though I have left Coillte for many years we were only a phone call away.
I will remember her as a talented guitar player and an advocate for all things musical be it Scor, Pantomime or whatever she could give her expertise to. We shared many happy memories of great holidays and colleagues weddings. Fiona thanks for the memories and God grant your Soul Eternal Rest 🙏 ❤ and comfort all who mourn your sad passing.

When I first started working in Davitt House in 1987, my then boss assigned Fiona the onerous task of being my mentor, and so began a lifelong friendship that would endure the decades.
Not one for fuss or small-talk, she went about her days with quiet resolve. Yet even so, we shared a rare, playful rapport where she graciously humoured my mischievous teasing – a liberty few could enjoy!
Fiona was a talented musician with a sharp ear and a deep love for her craft. She brought that same precision and care to everything she did — whether judging a Scór Competition, tuning my daughter’s first guitar or offering quiet words of support when I needed them most.
I will remember Fiona fondly. She was a remarkably brave woman whose strength shone through on the hardest of days.
