Woodstream, Castlerea and formerly of Buckhill, Fairymount, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon (April 12th, 2026) – peacefully, at Sonas Nursing Home, Cloverhill, in her 97th year.
Predeceased by her parents, Pat and Bridget McDonagh; her first husband, Thomas; her sisters, Monica and Phyllis; her brothers, Gerry and Paschal; and her husband, Christey.
Evelyn will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Marian Birmingham (Trien), Dolores Duffy (Springfield), and Evelyn Davern (London); her grandchildren, Michael, Margaret, Ann-Marie, Jonathan, Patrick, Ava, and Sofia and her great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Joan Forde (Mullingar) and Gertie Lynch (Ballaghaderreen); her sons-in-law, Tom, Tony, and Ray; her nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea (F45 V2Y4), on Tuesday evening from 6:00p.m. until 7:30p.m.
Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Fairymount, for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in Fairymount Old Cemetery.
